Adjustable Dumbbell Storage Arms

Very sturdy and just what I was looking for.

Perfect for my home gym. Space saving and very heavy duty. Not worried about its durability whatsoever. Glad I spent the money to get. My rep pepin adjustable dumbells (125 pounds) fit great.

These arms were super simple to install and super sturdy. Quality is well done.

It’s good, but it seems like it needs one more revision to be great. GOOD: The basic design as a mount for the dumbbells off a single upright with angle and height adjustability is what make it good. For my space in particular that’s exactly what I needed. Fits perfectly on a DIY upright, centered inside a 4-post 16” deep REP PR-5000 rack with dual Athena weight stacks. Still room to store a bench upright regardless of how you position the angle of the shelves. Benching inside, even incline bench, works no problem. Build is strong and there’s no sag. Improvements: (1) powder coat (black in my case) is nothing special and arrived with typical marring and scuffs of budget-priced brands. Of course this is not budget-priced. The powder coat is lightly textured, definitely not smooth like Rogue’s Satin Black, REP’s Metallic black, etc. I would prefer the aesthetic and durability of a smooth, deeper black which would help justify the premium price in contrast to the generic texture black of cheaper brands and overseas production. Second, with the provided plastic washers (which allow smooth rotation of the shelves), the top surface is not flush. It seems like an oversight in design where the washer thickness just wasn’t accounted for and prevents you from freely positioning the dumbbells or DB cradles. I chose not to use the plastic washers and preserve the level/flush surface, sacrificing smooth adjustment of the rotation. Third, a simple and thin rubber topper for the shelf would help these issues and others quite a bit. I believe some of the product videos at launch (HGC) even used showed a rubber topper, but it was not included in my shipment. A 1/4” rubber shelf liner would make the surface fully flush and protect equipment. No doubt a cheap improvement and I will DIY this, but OEM would be better at this price. Last, this is not titled a REP x Peppin specific mount, but it no doubt is the most common target buyer. In that case, the shelves are significantly oversized. Visually and functionally, just know that there’s quite a bit of wasted space after installing the cradles. I’d rather a smaller shelf that closer fits the most common application of the Reppins. On that same note, if you have the Reppin DBs, you’ll still need to find a solution for storing the addon plates. Similar options from REP, Black Widow and Bridge Built all come with a solution for storing the addon plates. You’ll need to either DIY something or look at the option on Etsy. I bought the Etsy one and its actually very good. I believe Synergy would do well to make these concessions for the crowd buying for the Reppins.

Awesome product. I have the iron master dumbbells. The platform is large enough for easy work in chnaging out the plates.

The only reason it gets a 4 star is because it does not provode a shelf cover like their other products.

Mounting these to your 4 post or 6 post rack has a couple of short comings. These are designed to hang on the same post. If you put them on opposing posts the trays will not spread out like you see in their documentation. You only only get parallel at best. You can drill new holes to make it work. If you have weight stacks at the rear of the rack, you may have clearance issues depending on the width of your rack. The finish is really nice. They are heavy duty. They only come with one bolt.
