Kettlebells and weight plates are not included. Neither are the barbells, landmines, battle rope anchors, or barbell holders shown in the product photos. Those are all sold separately.
2 tiers for plates, 1 for kettlebells: the right call if you train mostly barbell and keep a handful of bells around. Roughly 8 to 12 plates and 4 to 6 kettlebells.
1 tier for plates, 2 for kettlebells: better if kettlebells are the main event and you only need somewhere for a working set of plates. Roughly 4 to 6 plates and 8 to 12 kettlebells.
If you are between the two, count whichever collection is still growing and give that side the extra tier.
Each plate storage mount holds four to six plates, again depending on the size of the plates.
Across the whole rack that works out to 10 to 15 kettlebells or 8 to 12 plates, depending on which split you choose.
The Alpha KB is kettlebells only, and holds more of them, 15 to 20. The Alpha PLT is plates only, with six plate holders. The Alpha PK splits its three tiers between the two, so you store less of each but only give up one footprint instead of two.
All three are built on the same 3x3 inch upright and take the same accessories, so you are choosing a layout, not a different class of rack.
For the barbell holder specifically, you want the BBH-H1 Barbell Holder for the base. It holds the bar low and clear of the shelving, so it does not get in the way when you are reaching for a bell or a plate.
