Will My Dumbbells Fit?
To ensure a safe, "clink-free" racking experience with enough space between tiers for the Delta 10-Tier Rack, please follow these fitment guidelines:
Use our Dumbbell Configuration Calculator
Don't guess—calculate. Use our Dumbbell Configuration Calculator to verify your setup. By inputting your dumbbell diameters, you’ll see the precise available vertical space between your weights based on the Delta's specific 10-tier gap specs.
Loading Logic (Light-to-Heavy)
Dumbbell heads grow larger as they get heavier. To maintain proper clearance, always load from Lightest (Top) to Heaviest (Bottom).
Important: Dumbbell diameters vary by brand and style. Generic hex dumbbells were used for our approximations. Do not rely on the weight alone—focus on the "Max Head Size" (Diameter) measurements provided below.

Chart Terminology & Fitment Definitions
Transition: Identifies the specific pair of tiers being measured (e.g., Pair 9 to 10 is the space between the ninth tier and the bottom tier).
Vertical Gap: The fixed distance between two tiers on the Delta frame.
Max Head Size (Top): The largest allowable diameter (width of the head) for the dumbbell on the upper tier of the pair.
Max Head Size (Bottom): The largest allowable diameter for the dumbbell on the lower tier of the pair.
Vertical Space: The "daylight" remaining between dumbbell heads once placed on the rack. A result of 1.0" or more is perfect.

FAQs
Q: I have a full set of dumbbells from 5-50 lb. Will they all fit?
A: Absolutely! In fact, this Delta rack was specifically designed for a Hex DB combination of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, & 50 lb. dumbbells. This will give you the most optimal spacing.
Q: What's the handle space? Will my fingers be pinched?
A: The handle has 4.32" of space. This allows extra space compared to the standard vertical rack to avoid pinching fingers!
Q: Will this rack easily tip over given the height?
A: Safety is paramount for us so we designed a wider base to compensate for the added height. No need to worry about this rack tipping over.
Q: How do I know if my dumbbell combination and type will fit this rack?
A: The most commonly used dumbbells for this rack are hex, urethane, and Peloton square dumbbells. However, to make sure your dumbbell combination will fit, please refer to the "Dumbbell Fitting Guide Dimensions" to confirm good fit for your dumbbell collection. You can also find this guide under the "Product Documents" section below.
Q: Can I expand this rack into a horizontal rack?
A: Yes, you can take this rack apart and expand it into a 4-Tier Horizontal Rack with our Expansion Kit.

WILL MY DUMBBELLS FIT?🤔
Dumbbell sizes vary by brand—don't rely on the weight (lbs) alone. Follow these steps to verify your fitment:
1. Check Handle Length: Your dumbbell handles must be at least 5" long to fit on the rack.
2. Measure the Diameter: Measure the widest straight-line distance across the face of the dumbbell head to find the total diameter in inches.
3. Input by Pair: Starting from the Top (Pair 1) to the Bottom (Pair 10), enter your measurements below and click "Calculate Vertical Space".
4. Verify Vertical Space: Review the results to see your Available Vertical Space, ensuring you have enough space to rack your weights without hitting the pair above it. A result of 1" or more is optimal.
Always load from lightest to heaviest to maintain ample clearance for racking at each tier.
FITTING CHEAT SHEET
While the calculator above provides your specific results, this chart shows a standard balanced configuration using common dumbbell sizes. Use it as a quick benchmark to understand how head diameters affect your spacing, but make sure to measure your own dumbbells.

our dumbbell configuration Formula
The calculator above determines your exact available vertical space between each head of the weights for each tier using this formula:
Vertical Gap - ((Head Size Top + Head Size Bottom)/2) = Your Air Space
How to Break This Down (Step-by-Step):
Step A: Add the diameter of your Top dumbbell head and bottom dumbbell head together.
Step B: Divide that total by 2. (This gives you the "average" space the two weights take up).
Step C: Subtract that number from the corresponding Vertical Gap shown listed on the right side of the diagram above
The Result: This is your Available Vertical Space (anything below 1.0 will not be optimal)
